We might of mentioned that Jen took the team to Barbados for a few nights........

You know you’re staying in the height of luxury when your gorgeous suite has an al fresco Tranquillity Soaking Tub for two and a swim-up pool right outside your door...And we were all luck to experience this first hand on our recent 5 night break in Barbados.

Ultimate All Inclusive Sandals Barbados & Royal Barbados resorts include a choice of 20 speciality dining venues, pool bars to sports bars, a pub and a long list of activities from morning till night, it’s all laid out and completely complimentary. As these 2 resorts are right next to each other, you are free to roam and explore both.

We are still coming out of a Pandemic and procedures set out by the Barbados Goverment means there will be regulations to follow when visiting their country BUT Sandals have planned to deal with all the testing directly on resort and again its all complimentary.

To enter Barbados at the moment you need proof of your vaccinations, complete a travel form and proof of a negative PCR covid test 3 days before your arrival, all printed and ready to show at the airport.

It is a direct flight from the UK in just under 8 hours, Sandals guest are given a blue band at the airport taken straight to resort and given a complimentary PCR covid test, our results were back within 24 hours and the blue band of shame removed when you show proof of your negative test results. The only areas out of bounds to blue bands are the gym, spa and beach.

Masks are worn by guests in all inside public areas,you can removed once sat down. Staff wear them all the time and you are asked to use the hand sanitisers when entering a room, they are everywhere.

To return home we had an anitgen 3 days before our flight, completed our UK plf forms 48 hours before our arrival and had these all printed in resort to show at check-in.

The Hospitality Industry in most countries didn't have the grants/furlough schemes seen in the UK and are experiencing the same shortages of staff as many HAD to go off and find other jobs when Hotels were closed down, some hotels in Barbados look like they are still shut, its going to take time to recover. So a little patience is needed by some people you may have to wait for to be served, your room might not be cleaned fully everyday and you may find there are NO mushy peas to have with your fish n chips!!!
